I certainly hope that part of the entry conditions will include a miniumum consumption of alcohol for participants to increase the entertainment value for spectators!

Ha! I would certainly enter this. I love Kubb!

Er... if I were going, that is.

I have a pathological hatred of camping, due to unpleasant experiences as a Scout that I'd rather not talk about.

I can sleep in a tent, so long as it is solid, sealed, insulated, and comes equipped with a hot shower, flush toilet, electricity and Internet. :p

Arthwollipot ,

I know that "the Gathering " is in the pine forest just outside Armidale . Which contrary to popular belief isn't the wilderness , we have a number of well appointed Hotels , with all the mod cons (some even have NBN internet ).
So if you shop around , I'm sure that you'd be able to find somewhere to stay . There are many other re enactors who stay in hotels over night and come out in the morning (some even bring out Mc breakfast for a the lucky few)

Kubb is a fun Scandinavian game, where the object is to throw sticks at wooden "soldiers" set up by your opponent. The idea is to knock down all of your opponent's soldiers before he/she knocks down yours.

To our NEMASian Hosts! Greetings from Jorth Garia Vikings of the Mountains of the Gold Coast!
I just made a set of Kubb and have had a look at the Youtube sites on "How to play Kubb". Looks like a fun game.... a little complicated but I'll muddle through. What I would appriciate is a copy of the rules that y'all gonna be using so we can safe time by practicing how to play. REALLY looking forward to to this years Gathering. Will try to get down there on the Tuesday. Any tools I meed to bring...chainsaw... whippersnipper...catapult?? See ya soon, Regards, Einar :D
